Craft Webinar: Raising Funds for Author/Illustrator School Visits
Join author Amanda Davis for a collaborative approach on how to gather funding for author/illustrator visits!
From state and national grants to funding from local cultural councils, in this workshop, author/illustrator and educator Amanda Davis will review the multitude of ways you can work with educators, librarians, etc. to help them find sources to fund an author/illustrator visit with you! Amanda will show examples of ways you can work with educators to create meaningful lessons before, during, and after your visit based on projects she completed with her own students in connection with visits from authors/illustrators. Amanda will also cover miscellaneous items you may need to complete in preparation for your school visit such as a CORI background check, supplying invoices, and registering for a taxpayer identification number in order to receive payment for your visit.
