About the Event

Last year, we hosted our first-ever Pitch and Play: Industry Engagement Day, an incredible online event. Several faculty agents signed folks and offered R&Rs in their 1:1s, fulfilling the event mission to get writers their YES or NO in real time. 

And we’re back in 2024—and better than ever!

Tentative Schedule 

*All times are listed in Central Standard Time.

• 9:00 am: Welcome
• 9:15-10:45 am: Picture Book Palooza Pitch Panel (30 pitches max) 
• 11:00 am-12:30 pm: Novels R Us Pitch Panel (30 pitches max)
• 1:15-2:45 pm: Notable Non-Fiction (30 pitches max) 
• 3:00-4:45 pm: Elevator Pitches — A Raucous Round Up (45 pitches max)
•  4:45-5:00 pm: Closing

How It Works

• Register below for the full event and attend the Pitch & Play events, learning from the various panels, conversations, and submitted pitches. If you'd like to submit a pitch and/or add on a faculty 1:1, you'll need to join The Courage to Create here!
• Watch replays for insights and submission opportunities. 
• ALL ATTENDING FACULTY will be opening up to submissions after the event for a brief window. This is outside of any direct requests. Submission info will be sent after the event.

*Courage to Create members must remain active in the community for at least two months after the event to qualify for participation in both pitch panels and faculty 1:1s.
