Writing Barn Youth: Special 6-Week Summer Session!

Why NOW? The world is opening back up, right? Let's face it: Education has been turned on its head over the last two years. The pandemic forced many families to turn to online or home schooling. Meanwhile, arts programs are being cut from school budgets, leaving many creative kids without an outlet. In 2020, we moved our summer writing camps to a SOLD-OUT virtual experience, but we know family schedules are jam-packed and a live program isn't right for everyone. That's where Writing Barn Youth comes in: An adaptable, at-your-own-pace program that still offers the connection, community, and inspiration kids need now more than ever!

Dates: June 9th - July 21st. The live kickoff event on Zoom will be the evening of Thursday, June 9th. The live end-of-semester celebration on Zoom will take place on the evening of Thursday, July 21st. Guest author visit with Rajani LaRocca on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 29th. All live events will be recorded.

Membership includes 20+ hours of live and prerecorded content, 6 newsletters chockfull of writing wisdom and inspiration, Q&A sessions with guest author Rajani LaRocca, a signed copy of one of Rajani's books, the chance to be share work with peers through our newsletters, registration links for Writing Barn virtual book launch events, and a Writing Barn Youth E-Zine!

ONLINE classes are taught in real time in our virtual Zoom classrooms. This keeps the instruction intimate yet accessible to writers across the country. Click here for online learning instructions.

Terms and Conditions

Please note that all Writing Barn classes and events are nonrefundable and nontransferable to another class. You may transfer your attendance to another writer.

Class recordings will be made available only to those who cannot make the class, including those for whom last-minute tech issues (wifi access, etc.) prevents them from participating. Recordings are available for two weeks following the class date, then deleted.
